Cisco and Intel have decided to work together in hopes of improving integration of their wireless products. Executives from both companies unveiled the newly developed Business Class Wireless Software Suite, at the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco.

By prioritizing internet telephony network traffic, the software will improve the quality of VoIP calls from clients using wireless networks.

Cisco’s chief development officer, Charles Giancarlo commented that “VoIP on Wi-Fi turns out to be really, really tricky”. He also added that adding software support for the technology on both clients and access points allows users to create and maintain an optimal connection, with high levels of bandwidth.
