Motorola Phones Allow Parents to Monitor Kids

Motorola Inc., the world’s third largest manufacturer of mobile phones has plans to make phones that would allow parents to censor obscene content, and monitor their children’s whereabouts.

“Mobile Phones today are more like television when I was a kid,” Motorola CEO Edward Zander was quoted as saying, “but there is a way to keep it secure.” He went on the say that with the emerging youth culture around cellular phones, it is understandable that adults have concerns about what their kids are reading, watching, and listening to.

The new mobile phone models with special child safety features are Motorola’s way of meeting these concerns.
