RadioShack has unexpectedly announced a new 10-year distribution contract with Cingular Wireless. Starting early next year, RadioShack will sell Cingular phones at their 5000+ stores across the United States. This new agreement will replace the previous contract with Verizon, which RadioShack has chosen not to renew.

Initial reaction from shareholders has been very good, with RSH stock prices jumping over 15%.
