Sprint to Launch Streaming Music Service
12:43 am on September 22, 2005 | Category: Telecom ServicesSprint Nextel will soon become the latest cellular phone carrier to allow customers to listen to music on their handsets. Along with Seattle-based digital media provider, RealNetworks Inc., Sprint will offer a new streaming music service called Rhapsody Radio.
The service will provide several streaming radio stations, along with music news, videos, and podcasts. It will be offered for a price of $6.95 per month.
Launching this service will be Sprint’s second partnership with RealNetworks, which already provides streaming video content for the Sprint Real-rTV service.
