Sprint to Test Wireless Broadband Technology
9:15 pm on September 16, 2005 | Category: Wireless TechnologySprint Nextel announced on Friday that it will be working with Samsung Telecommunications to test mobile WiMAX wireless broadband technology.
The companies released a statement that they will conduct both laboratory and field testing, as well as interoperability testing with several other companies which provide Sprint with technology.
The statement didn’t reveal much about this project’s spcific long-term purposes and intentions, saying only that evaluating 2.5GHz applications is vital to the progress of wireless broadband infrastructure.
