Broadband Speeds on an Upward Spiral
12:17 am on October 22, 2005 | Category: Web ServicesCome next spring, BT will be trying to grab its share of the UK’s ultra-high-speed broadband market with its new “Max” ADSL service. Max is expected to provide data transfer speeds of up to 8 Mbps.
The service is currently in the trial phase, and is being tested in some 53 exchanges located in several regions, including London, Cornwall, and North Ireland.
This is quite a jump for the BT broadband network, which currently only provides speeds of up to 2 Mbps, but nowhere near as fast as the 24 Mbps broadband service recently launched by Be, another British provider.
