Many Have the Wrong Impression about VoIP

1:03 am on October 5, 2005 | Category: VoIP

According to a recent survey by the US-based Level 3Communications, 66% of people believe that switching to VoIP telephony services would be a hassle. This just shows that the majority of people probably don’t realize how easy it is to make the switch.

In reality of course, VoIP users can make still use their existing telephone to make calls. All that is needed is a working broadband internet connection, and a small adapter, which is usually provided for free by VoIP companies.

One of the major obstacles that telephony providers will have to overcome is the attitude that VoIP services are hard to set up and use. Providers of these services will need to educate consumers on the reality of this situation in order to win over the bulk of the telecommunications market.
