Sony Ericsson has just announced the launch of their most recent Walkman-branded mobile phone, the W900. The new handset will feature 3G connectivity, as sell as a 2 megapixel digital camera, and have a focus on playing music.

Unlike Motorola’s ROKR, this new phone will support wireless music downloads, for instant audio entertainment on the go. It will also be able to connect to a PC, via cable or bluetooth, which allows for music to be transferred from a user’s CD collection.

The W900’s 470MB of internal memory will enable the device to store as many as 240 songs at any given time, in a variety of popular formats, including MP3, AAC, AAC+, MIDI, WAV and XMF.
