Samsung’s Latest Phone Has a Great Memory

2:24 am on October 18, 2005 | Category: Mobile Devices

Electronics giant, Samsung, has just released a new cellular phone with a 3GB hard drive. That’s enough memory to store thousands of digital pictures, or hours of video data, all on a single tiny handset.

The multimedia SPH-V7900 comes a year after the launch of Samsung’s first hard drive-enabled phone. In that year, the amount of built in memory has doubled.

In addition the generously large hard drive, the V7900 comes with a nice selection of nifty features, including audio and video compression technology, dual speakers, stereo sound, and TV output. It also has a very interesting new piece of software that can convert music into visual images and color patterns.

The new phone has already been released in Samsung’s home country of Korea, and is set to launch in Europe before the year is out. All it’s advanced features certainly don’t come cheap, with a retail price of around $700.
