Sony Ericsson Profits Exceed Expectations
3:37 pm on October 18, 2005 | Category: BusinessSony Ericsson announced on Monday that its third-quarter before-tax profits rose by 11%, significantly above what analysts expected.
This jump is mostly due to the strong sales of the company’s many new cell phone models, which include the W800 Walkman handset, the K750 camera phone, and the K600 3G series.
The impressive growth of Sony Ericsson outpaced the growth of the global handset market, which also grew somewhat faster than expected.
