Broadband Price War Brewing

1:32 am on November 11, 2005 | Category: Business, Web Services

A few weeks ago, we saw Verizon Wireless reduce the price of their 400kbps to 700kbps broadband offering by 25%, to a much more competitive $59.99. And now, Sprint Nextel has done exactly the same thing with its recently released EV-DO service.

There is definite tension in the American high speed internet market these days, and it appears that these two providers, among other, are going to keep fighting for the title of “best deal”. While this happens, they will inevitably continue to expand into new service areas, in continual attempts to dominate the marketplace.

North America’s leading broadband companies certainly have no easy task ahead of them. Consumers, on the other hand, can feel free to sit back and enjoy the good deals.
