The Nexus has been pushed back and won’t be out until 2006…The S50 is the only such radio available this year..

Yeah, looks like you’re right. Sirius has a jump on the competition so far. It’ll be interesting to see how well they use that to their advantage…

The S50 is not all it was originally cracked out to be. RIAA seems to have put its clamps on it and doesn’t allow programmed recording of music channels. Plus, it is only 1GB. What did Apple do with their 1GB MP3 player? I’ll wait for the 30GB Dell/XM unit.

It’s worth noting that while neither of the devices mentioned above can receive live satellite broadcasts, the XM MyFi can. It’s been out for a year, giving XM a big lead over Sirius in this arena.
Yeah, I’m a long-time XM subscriber. You caught me
. But if you care about listening to music and news live instead of in the can, XM’s still your only way to go with a portable at the moment. It even records hours of broadcasts to be replayed later if you happen to work in a concrete bunker.

Salespeople at BB and CC and the like all said ‘…Many people disappointed with the MyFi because of limited reception.’ Can’t wait for my S50 to show up on my doorstep! It’s BAD AS HELL!

I just bought the portable XM delphi MyFi. I am very pleased with the product itself and how easy it is to use. I rode 1,500 miles on my motorcycle through a lot of mountains and had no problems with reception. My only complaint is XM vs Sirius. I don’t get the NFL broadcasting channels that Sirius offers. I did not research this before I picked XM over Sirius. The Sirius S50 does not look as easy to hook up to a motorcycle and listen to “live” music like the XM delphi MyFi.
