Cingular Releases Latest Windows-Based Smartphone

Cingular has recently launched their new 2125 mobile smartphone model, which runs on the Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system.

The 2125 features good network compatibility, with support for both quadband GSM and Cingular’s high-speed EDGE data network. It is based on a design by HTC Faraday, weighs 106 grams, and uses as 200 Mhz Texas Instruments OMAP 850 processor.

This feature-rich new device includes the full collection of Microsoft Mobile Office applications as well as Windows Media Player 10, and MSN Messenger. It also features support of Bluetooth, a 1.3 megapixel built-in digital camera, and a stereo headphone jack for listening to music.

Cingular is selling this new smartphone at a price of $199.99, with a 2-year contract, and after a $100 mail-in rebate.
