Microsoft to Link Xbox 360 with Mobile Phones
1:58 am on December 19, 2005 | Category: Web Services, Mobile Devices
It is expected that, within the next six months, Microsoft will launch a new communication tool for users of the Xbox 360, allowing them to use it to send and receive mobile text messages over the existing MSN Messenger network.
This will allow gaming enthusiasts to let their friends know when they are playing, and more effectively schedule multi-player games and tournaments.
By integrating their new console with mobile phones, Microsoft is taking a bold move to more deeply embed themselves in the minds (and pockets) of gamers everywhere.
