Wireless networking provider, MobilePro Corp. has just announced intentions to become a provider of retail and wholesale VoIP services.

The company plans to “develop a new VoIP platform to complement our CommPartners relationship and better position us to serve the emerging VoWiFi market,” according to Chief Executive Officer, Jay Wright.

This is likely the latest step in MobilePro’s quest to expand their market reach. They have already acquired 20 other companies in the past two years, and are hoping to combine all these separate businesses into a single unified entity, for estimated cost savings of $4 million per year.

They hope to pass some of these savings on to consumers, by offering a variety of bundled voice and wireless data options at discounted rates.
