Israel-based wireless hardware maker, Ceragon Networks has signed an OEM agreement with Nokia that will see Ceragon’s FibeAir wireless radios included in the cellular giant’s portfolio of microwave radio products.
This deal comes after several years of the radios being integrated with Nokia’s cellular networking solutions.
“Nokia’s decision to strengthen its relationship with Ceragon reflects the rising demand for high-capacity radio solutions,” said Ceragon president and CEO, Ira Palti, in a statement about the deal. “We are confident that our industry-proven SDH radios will add value to Nokia’s portfolio and help deliver a complete solution to their customer base.”
“Ceragon has a market leading position in the cellular backhauling network business. This agreement will enhance our full system capabilities by broadening our high capacity product offering to our system customers,” commented Nokia Networks executive Risto Valtonen.
