Creative Launches Wireless WebCam

Digital entertainment market leader, Creative Technology Ltd. has just unveiled the Live! Wireless, a user friendly portable WebCam that uses wireless networking to stream remote footage from anywhere in your home or office.

Starting this month, this innovative new WebCam will be available to consumers at a cost of $199.

The Live! Wireless package includes a Creative WebCam, along with a wireless server that is capable of automatically detecting wireless routers and configuring its settings accordingly. After completing the easy set up process, a user can create a secure web address dedicated to showing footage from their WebCam, and view feeds from up to four cameras on their computer at any one time.

“We designed the Live! Wireless to provide an easy, affordable way to experience remote video monitoring. Grandparents can watch a baby in a nursery from thousands of miles away; people at work can watch their pets at home; you can watch from anywhere you have an internet-enabled PC, PDA or mobile phone,” said Creative’s general manager of camera products, Dr. Jeff Stoen. “You get your own customized web address free of charge, and you can see live video, or use motion detection and send pictures to e-mail. You can even access MP3 music, photos and files from your home PC when you’re at work.”
