Verizon to Launch New Mobile Music Service
2:46 am on January 6, 2006 | Category: Web Services, Mobile Devices
Downloading music is about to become a whole lot easier for Verizon Wireless customers, with the impending launch of the company’s V Cast mobile music store.
V Cast is expected to be available on January 16th, and will allow users to download music onto their PCs at a cost of $0.99 per song. Compatible cell phones will be able to download content directly for $1.99, and music can be transferred between the phone and computer via a USB connection.
The V Cast service will initially only be available through a few advanced cell phones, including the LG VX8100 and Samsung SCH-a950. More V Cast-compatible phones will be rolled out in the months to come.
