Vodafone Music Service will Feature Enhanced Personalization
12:20 am on January 11, 2006 | Category: Telecom Services, Mobile Devices
One of the nice things about Vodafone’s forthcoming music streaming service is that it enables a high level of personalization, allowing users “train” channels by pressing a button to indicate whether they like or dislike certain songs.
“This is an interesting new way for users to explore and hear music that they don’t have with traditional methods,” said Ben Padovan, a spokesman from Vodafone.
This service will be provided through the Vodafone Live portal, for a daily access or monthly subscription fee. A packet-based or 3G handset will be required to take advantage of the music streaming technology.
Exact pricing will depend on a user’s location, once the service is rolled out in France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and the UK during the next few months.
