Cingular Wireless Plans Network Upgrades in Florida

Cingular Wireless announced last week that it is planning to invest more than $360 million to upgrade its network in Florida in the coming year.

The upgrades will involve expanding coverage, increasing mobile data speeds, and completing the final steps of integrating Cingular and AT&T’s wireless networks.

As a result of these upgrades, Cingular promises better call quality, fewer dropped calls, and better in-building and in-car cellular reception.
