Microsoft executives took their 3GSM keynote presentation this morning as an opportunity to showcase a few of the latest mobile devices featuring the Windows Mobile operating system.

Suzan DelBene, who is part of the Windows Mobile marketing division, whipped out a number of cutting edge handhelds, the first of which was the quad-band wireless HP iPaq hw6900.

Right after this came the Samsung i320, a very slim smartphone with a built-in keyboard. The Asus P305 3G smartphone and quad-band i-mate SmartFlip also made appearances.

After the devices were displayed, Microsoft CEO, Steve Ballmer spoke about how the Windows Mobile platform is a powerful and consistent mobile operating system, which works equally well for both smartphones and Pocket PCs.
