Mobile phone giant, Nokia Corp, has extended its Nokia Business Center mobile email application to support IBM Lotus Notes and Domino.

The manager of Nokia’s Enterprise Solutions Mobile E-mail, Dave Grannan, believes that this is an important upgrade due to the large market share represented by these two corporate email solutions.

“By supporting Lotus Notes and Domino, Nokia is providing companies and channel partners with a cost-effective, secure and scalable choice for mobile e-mail and beyond,” Grannan said in a statement.

The company is hoping that greater compatibility will entice more businesspeople to make use of Nokia Business Center to more conveniently access their corporate email accounts when away from the office.
