China Mobile Reports 2005 Financial Results

The world’s second largest wireless operator, China Mobile, has just released its final financial figures for 2005.

Total profits for the year came in at about US$6.66 billion, which marks a 28% increase over 2004.

As the dominant carrier in the world’s largest cell phone market, China Mobile didn’t have too much trouble adding 42.4 million new subscribers last year, bringing its total number of customers to 246.7 million, as of December 31.
