Cingular Wireless has just launched a new streaming video service that will give mobile phone users easy access to a wide variety of popular programming choices.
The wireless giant has partnered with several major media and entertainment brands to provide customers with content from Fox, HBO, The Weather Channel, ESBN, and the Cartoon Network, among others.
“The service is designed with today’s mobile consumer in mind and users are never more than a few clicks from their favorite programs,” said Sam Hall, vice president of Cingular’s Mobile Browse and Developer Program.
The new service costs $20 per month and is available in the 16 US cities that have access to Cingular’s HSDPA 3G wireless network. 3G service will be rolled out in a number of additional markets throughout the coming year.
