FreeCalls365 Launches Free PC-to-Phone VoIP Service
7:15 am on March 11, 2006 | Category: VoIP, Web Services
A new player has entered the VoIP market today, with a totally free, ad-supported, PC-to-Phone telephony offering.
FreeCalls365.com launched earlier this week, and promises to provide totally free local and long distance calling from any PC to any phone, at any time of day.
The company says that its service provides strong, clear sound quality, and works with an easy-to-use desktop softphone dialer. The dialer contains advertising, which is provided by a company called AdCalls, and pays for the cost of running the service.
Several other company’s, including Skype, Google, Yahoo, and AOL offer partially ad-supported free VoIP services, but all of these services charge for PC-to-Phone calls outside of the network. It will be interesting to see whether a start-up like FreeCalls365 can survive in this competitive market off advertising revenues alone.

Looks good but doesn’t support too many countries on PSTN.

Does it support callers from outside US and Canada?

It’s just spam. The site leads you to the actual conspirator’s website, which is:
http://www.adcalls.com
freecalls365 is another misleading advertisinig campaign.
There is no option to register in that bloody phone service.
They advise you to go and manage your account at their
so called “adcalls online account center” which absolutely does
not exist.
I’m sure millions of people download their dialer, and by the time those
exploited users find out that it is not designed to call at all, their pc
is bombarded with a plathora of ads. This is their trick.
No calls, but ad banners are delivered to your pc instantly with the permanant
message that says “invalid account”. I’m one of the users who downloaded their dialer
several times and tried it, but it doesn’t work at all. But I was certainly shown dozens
of advertisements on their dialer. That’s how they earn money.
If anyone has a counter argument, please let me know. I have searced everywhere, but
there is no way one can ‘register’ or ‘create an account’ with these free pctophone website

There is NO WHERE to create an account, anyone who posts otherwise are obviously being paid to review this hunk of crap designed to load you up with advertisements, not to aloow you to call anyone..

I get the “invalid account” message too.

I’ve been using FreeCalls365 as my ONLY PHONE for about 2 weeks…I threw my cellphone down and broke it after it wouldn’t work inside my house for over a week, even after changing out the SIM card. I found this page when I started getting the “invalid account” message. It’s not a scam…but it’s DEFINITELY not perfect. Calls are limited to 10 minutes, and the dialer can not be minimized during a call. You can store your address book, and the program keeps track of the last few numbers you dialed. Quality is fair…not much better than low quality cell phone service. A lot of people complained that it sounded like I had hung up on them as soon as I stopped talking.
Anyway, not an agent, just a guy who has used the software in a pinch until I could get Vonage.

i haven’t tried it yet but in looking for it i was getting frustrated with the freecalls365.com link (which was probably good at the time it was posted)
good link http://www.adcalls.com
bad link http://www.freecalls365.com/ is parked with sedo (according to sedo: Domain Parking is simple way to earn money from your domains’ natural traffic. If you have registered domain names, but they are not currently being used, then domain parking is a great way to put those domains to work, earning you revenue. You can make money without even lifting a finger! The idle domain is used to display relevant advertisements -every time a consumer clicks on one of the advertisements, you earn money.)
