Logitech QuickCam: Great for Video VoIP on the Go
6:00 am on March 6, 2006 | Category: VoIP, Mobile Devices
Logitech’s new QuickCam for Notebooks Pro offers everything you need for video VoIP chat, all wrapped up into a tiny package.
The 1.3-megapixel video camera offers excellent color at a resolution of up to 1024×768 pixels, and frame rates approaching full motion.
Included with the device is a compact earpiece/microphone combination, with excellent quality audio quality. Video Effects software is also included, allowing users to transform or play with the video data, or even make themselves appear as an animated character (perfect for talking to your kids).
Although somewhat pricey, the Logitech QuickCam is a great multi-purpose online VoIP solution, and should greatly improve your user experience when combined with a video telephony program like Skype 2.0, or Sony’s Instant Video Everywhere service.
