Motorola Releases “Ming” Linux Smartphone

American handset leader, Motorola, has recently started shipping its long-awaited A1200 cell phone to users in Hong Kong, under a different product name.

The so called Motorola Ming is a high-end Linux-based phone, with a 2.0-megapixel digital camera, wireless email capability, and a handy business card scanning feature. It also boasts plenty of multimedia functionality, with support for 10 different audio and video file formats.

There’s little question that eager users around the world are watching the release of this stylish new phone, and hoping to see it extended to other markets in the not-so-distant future.
