Nokia to Preinstall Discovery Channel Content on Select Handsets

Discovery Communications has formed a global collaboration with Nokia, in which content from the Discovery Channel, and similar cable channels, will come pre-installed on select Nokia phones and wireless devices.

The initial phase of the deal will involve the Best of Discovery montage clip being sold with the Nokia N92 and 770 Internet Tablet products. The clip includes inspiring and engaging video of nature scenes, landscapes, animals, and city-scenes. It will be used in the demonstration of these Nokia products at conferences and trade shows.

Discovery has now deployed its content for mobile devices from 21 different wireless carriers in 11 countries.
