Mobile phone giant, Nokia, announced yesterday that it has won a contract to provide HSDPA software for T-Mobile’s 3G wireless network in the Netherlands, Germany, and the UK.

T-Mobile, which is a unit of Deutsche Telekom, will be launching the first stage of its HSDPA service in Germany later this week, to be followed by similar networks in Britain and the Netherlands later this year.

Nokia will be providing software upgrades to allow the European mobile giant to upgrade its existing 3G networks to High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) technology in the months to come.
