Already know for its free podcasting solution for mobile phones, Pod2Mobile is now launching a new product geared towards advertisers.

The new ad service is being integrated with the company’s existing web-based podcasting service, which streams podcasts directly to mobile phone users. Advertisers will now be able to register at Pod2Mobile.com, and have their messages sent along with the podcasts.

Pod2Mobile seems very confident with its new system of bringing podcasters, advertisers, and listeners together, even going so far as to make a bold comparison to Google Adsense.

“Podcasting is a pure pull medium, which means the audience is listening because they actually want to hear the programming,” said the company’s founder Brad Zutaut. “Pod2Mobile’s solution extends podcasters reach to wireless phones while creating an opportunity for Madison Avenue to reach fickle audiences directly in their pocket. We believe we are doing for podcasting what Google’s AdSense did for online advertising.”

Although Pod2Mobile certainly isn’t the first company to combine ads with podcasting, it seems to have put together a very efficient content delivery system. With a bit of luck, they should be able to grab their share of the fast-growing podcasting ad industry, which eMarketer predicts will reach $150 million by 2008 and $300 million by 2010.
