Significant Growth Expected for Chinese Mobile Music Market

The market for mobile music is booming in China, and becoming increasingly popular as music-capable phones enter the price range of ordinary consumers in the country.

China generated $247 million in wireless music revenue in 2005, and this number is set to expand significantly in the coming years, according to telecom consulting firm, BDA China Ltd.

The implementation of 3G mobile data networks in the country’s most populous cities is also expected to contribute to this massive growth.
