Verizon Wireless is beefing up the video content lineup for its mobile media network, V CAST. The carrier has made deals with Turner Broadcasting Systems, Fox TV, and Warner Bros. to syndicate some of their programming.
As a result of the deal with TBS, V CAST customers will gain access to content from the Cartoon Network, Turner Classic Movies, and Adult Swim.
The other agreement, with Fox and Warner Bros., will allow Verizon to produce its own interactive multimedia series based on the popular Warner Bros. show, The O.C. V CAST will also play host to a number of insider O.C. video clips, as well as ringtones, wallpaper, and other content.
“This agreement with the Warner Bros. Television Group and Fox goes beyond video content,” said Verizon Wireless vice president and CMO, John Stratton. “It is about creating a multimedia, interactive engagement with the audience.”
