Cavalier Launches MPEG-4 Broadband Television Offering

Cavalier Telephone and TV has become the first telecom provider in the United States to offer an MPEG-4 television service over a fiber optic broadband network.
The company’s new broadband television offering is now available in Richmond, Virginia, and will be extended to a number of other major markets, including Baltimore, Philadelphia, Norfolk, and Washington DC in the coming months. It includes 150 channels of digital programming, along with parental control features and Video On Demand.
The MPEG-4 quality service is being offered as part of Cavalier’s triple-play (telephone, television, and DSL) bundle at a total cost of $95/month.
