Infonetics Expects Enterprise VoIP Penetration to Double by 2010
6:00 am on May 17, 2006 | Category: VoIP
A new report from Infonetics Research suggests that adoption of VoIP technology among enterprise customers will double by the year 2010.
At this point in time, the small business penetration of VoIP is still quite low (14%), but it is expected to grow the fastest, more than tripling by 2010. By that time, Infonetics predicts that half of small businesses and two thirds of large corporations will be using some kind of IP-based voice technology.
The main motivators for businesses to adopt VoIP include having the ability to integrate phone systems across multiple locations, as well as save money on operations, and converge voice and data networks.
