Netgear Launching Skype-Certified Wireless VoIP Handset

Netgear announced on Monday that it is now taking pre-orders for its new wireless Skype handset, which will let users make free online VoIP calls, as well as paid SkypeOut calls, from within a Wi-Fi hotspot.
This candybar handset will sell for US$249.99, and is the first such device to receive official Skype certification, according to a statement from Netgear. It features a color display, and will come complete with Skype software.
It is now available for pre-order through the Skype online store, and Netgearās retail partners.
