A recent study has found that motorists in London, England who drive 4X4 vehicles are four times more likely to illegally use handheld mobile phones while driving in the city.

The study was carried out by researchers at Imperial College in London, and involved the analysis of 38,000 vehicles passing through a busy intersection in the morning, afternoon, and evening.

“Our data show a worryingly high level of non-compliance with laws on seat belts and handheld mobile phones by drivers in London,” commented on analyst who worked on the report.

The study concluded that 4X4 drivers, who know that they are protected to an extent, are willing to take more risks on the road.

    1. This is the funniest article that I’ve read in a long time. What’s next? 4X4 drivers are more likely to put on makeup while driving since rear ending the car in front of them will not cause them to cram their mascara into their eye because their 4X4 vehicle is bullet proof?
