U.S. telecom giant, AT&T Inc., has announced its official plans for a new television offering, due to hit the market next month.

The Homezone package will combine satellite television service from EchoStar Communications with downloadable IPTV content from a popular internet video website called MovieLink.com.

Homezone represents the cornerstone of AT&T’s plans to compete with cable television operators in its 13-state footprint. This interesting new offering will serve as the main television component of AT&T’s quadruple-play bundle until the company finishes rolling out its fiber optic television network.
