The Worldwide Web Consortium, a trade group that establishes internet standards, has set up some special new guidelines for developers of mobile web pages.

Consortium members, which include companies like Google, Nokia, and Vodafone, have formally specified that mobile web pages should have minimal graphics, and content that starts right at the beginning of the page.

These new guidelines are being promoted to developers in an effort to make the mobile web more simple and easy to navigate.
