Korean electronics manufacturer, Samsung, claims to have doubled the capacity of its OneNAND Flash memory chip to 2GB, while increasing its “write” speed from 9.3 Mbps to 17 Mbps.

60 nanometer production technology is reportedly responsible for this significant performance hike.

These new chips will soon be used to boost the performance of a wide variety of electronic devices, including PCs, digital TVs, multimedia cell phones, and memory cards for cameras and PDAs.
