Sling Media Launches Slingbox Mobile DVR Solution in UK

Sling Media has officially launched its popular Slingbox wireless DVR control solution in the UK market this week, in hopes of capturing the interest of British mobile phone subscribers.

The Slingbox allows customers to control their Digital Video Recorders remotely from any computer, wireless PDA, or smartphone in the world. It has recently become very popular in the U.S. market, and offers a whole new level of convenience to consumers that seek convergence of communication, media, and entertainment.

The timing for Sling’s UK launch comes just a few days before the FIFA World Cup soccer tournament, giving consumers just enough time to run out and buy a Slingbox DVR before the event begins.
