IMS Deployment Triples in Twelve Months
6:30 am on July 5, 2006 | Category: Business, VoIP
The adoption of IMS architectures among IP network operators has more than tripled in the past twelve months, according to a recent report from inCode.
The report’s results were calculated using inCode’s IMS Global Deployments Matrix, an effective trend tracking algorithm.
“Wireless, wireline and broadband operators are ultimately headed toward IMS,” concluded inCode researcher, PK Prasanna said. “The questions for many operators are how will they get there and when will it happen.”
Other studies done in the past few weeks mirror inCode’s results, and suggest that IMS will continue growing at a rapid rate for the next several years.
