RIM to Integrate Multimedia Features with New BlackBerry Devices

The addition of media and entertainment features will be a key component in the future of the BlackBerry wireless email device, according RIM’s co-CEO, Jim Balsillie.
“We’ll be definitely supporting more forms of media, it’s a big part of our direction,” Balsillie said earlier this week, noting that adding support for music, video, and photography will open up some “bigger markets” for the popular BlackBerry device.
As the business email market becomes increasingly crowded, appealing to consumers will be an integral part of RIM’s quest to remain one step ahead of the competition.
Balsillie’s comments have revived the rumor that support for Apple iTunes could be a flagship feature on future BlackBerry devices. The launch of a so called “AppleBerry” product could make RIM devices an instant success with the consumer market, while finally allowing iTunes to make its way onto a high-profile wireless device.

When will this “Crack-apple” be available in the market?

Well, its existance hasn’t been confirmed by either Apple or RIM, so obviously there’s no way to say when (or even if) it will be released.
Personally, I think that the launch of an “AppleBerry” would immensely benefit both companies, and that it will happen sooner or later. As for when, your guess is as good as mine.
