Helio to Open Brick-and-Mortar Cell Phone Stores

Helio, an MVNO joint venture owned by EarthLink and South Korea Telecom Co., has announced plans to open a chain of brick-and-mortar mobile phone stores in the United States.

The stores will feature, lounges, video screens, multiplayer games, and live demonstrations by Helio’s content partners, as well as a “Q&A bar” where customers can get ask questions and voice concerns.

Helio’s first retail outlet will open in Santa Monica, California, in early October, and will likely be followed by other stores in the months to come.
