Australian wireless carriers, Vodafone, Optus, and Telstra, have announced a new version of the Blackberry Connect mobile email software specially designed for the Palm Treo 650.

The Treo 650 is one of the most popular smartphones in the Australian market, where the newer Treo 700w has not yet been released.

The newly released software allows for wireless push email, address book and calendar synchronization, and the ability to view Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF email attachments.
