Amp’d Mobile Inc., a popular MVNO reseller of wireless phone service, has announced a deal with Circuit City, which will allow it to distribute its products and services through the consumer electronics giant’s network of retail stores.

Amp’d rents airwaves from Verizon Wireless, and offers specialized mobile phone services, targeted mostly towards younger customers. The company kicked off its service in late 2005 and currently has around 50,000 customers.

Selling mobile phones and start-up wireless subscriptions at over 600 Circuit City retail stores is expected to help the MVNO reach its target of 100,000 customers by the end of the Christmas shopping season.
