Rogers Wireless Launches Nokia E62 Smartphone in Canadian Market

Rogers Wireless has become the first carrier in North America to launch the Nokia E62, a powerful new mobile smartphone and push email device.

“As Canada’s leading wireless carrier operating on the GSM/GPRS technology platform, the world standard for wireless communications technology, we are proud to offer our customers leading edge mobile handsets like the Nokia E62 device,” said Rogers Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, John. “As the first carrier in North America to offer the E62, Rogers business customers will be able to save time by having access to the latest in mobile innovation and e-mail connectivity.”

The new device features a built-in QWERTY keyboard, 16 million color 2.8-inch display, MP3 and video capabilities, and an enhanced web browser for PC-like internet surfing. It can be used for five-way conference calling, and is able to synchronize contacts and calendar information using Rogers MyMail.

The Nokia E62 is now available at Rogers Wireless stores throughout Canada, at a cost of $249.99, with a three-year service agreement.
