Verizon Communications announced earlier this week that it will be offering co-branded versions of Microsoft’s Windows Live products to its DSL and FiOS high-speed internet subscribers.

The deal will ultimately allow Verizon customers to use co-branded versions of Live.com, Windows Live Toolbar, Windows Live Messenger, and Windows-live powered Verizon email. A free OneCare security scanner will also be co-distributed by the companies.

“Verizon continues to be a highly valuable partner for us in delivering Windows Live services that unite consumers’ interests, information and relationships in a way that’s most meaningful to them,” said senior VP, Steve Berkowitz, of Microsoft’s Online Services Group.

Microsoft already has a similar deal with Qwest, another major U.S. telecom provider.
