107 Million American Viewed Online Video in July, Says Recent Study

107 million Americans, or around 60% of the country’s internet users, viewed some kind of online video content at least once in the month of July, according to a recent study by ComScore Media Metrix.
In total, around 7.2 billion video clips were either streamed or downloaded in July, an average of 67 per user. Yahoo was the number one provider of online video contnet, with a total of 38 million users over the 31 day period. MySpace.com was a close second with 37 million, and YouTube came third with 31 million users.
Runner ups, which also took a significant portion of the online video pie included AOL, Microsoft, Viacom, and Google.
