AT&T Streamlines DSL High-Speed Internet Pricing
6:10 am on October 5, 2006 | Category: Telecom Services, Internet
AT&T has announced a new pricing structure for its DSL broadband services, freeing new customers from mandatory contracts, and lower prices for all.
The company’s basic internet service, which offers download speeds of 767 kbps, will now cost just $14.99 per month, while the 1.5 Mbps Express broadband offering is being reduced to a monthly cost of $19.99. The cost of Pro and Elite-level subscriptions is also being reduced.
Customers will be able to sign up for the service on a month-to-month basis, without signing a rate-protection contract, and receive these same low rates.
AT&T has also promised to eliminate the price differential between customers that order online or by phone. Those who shop online, however, will be able to claim a free one-time gift card towards their service.
