Logitech has just introduced the Harmony 670, its latest mid-range universal remote control, which features easy DVR integration, and a number of one-touch activity buttons.
“When we designed our new remote, we paid close attention to the success of the Harmony 659 and the features that made it popular,” commented Logitech’s vice president of remote control products, Bryan McLeod, in a recent statement. “We enhanced those features, such as making the color-coded one-touch activity buttons slightly larger, and updated the button layout to reflect the trends in today’s living room.”
The color coded activity buttons enable users to “Watch TV,” “Listen to Music,” or “Watch a Movie” more easily than ever before, automatically changing all system inputs for the function at hand, and powering up relevant devices on demand.
DVR controls, meanwhile, are featured in a central location, with commands like rewind, advance, skip, pause, and record surrounding the directional pad.
The Harmony 670 also comes equipped with a backlit keypad and LCD display, allowing users to add custom controls, or install device-specific infrared codes, which can be downloaded via the internet.
Overall, this remote’s wide selection of nifty new features makes it easier than ever to control your entire home entertainment system with a single device. The Harmony 670 is now available to U.S. customers at a suggested retail price of $149.99.
